Our Family
Joel, Erica and their two daughters, Maria and Amy, live in Dayton, Nevada. Erica established Ridgeview Equine in 2021 and has grown the training and lesson program over the years with the support and involvement of her wonderful clients.
Maria and Amy have grown up around horses. Joel and Erica have encouraged their involvement with horses as we know the important life lessons that can be learned working with these animals.
The girls have now started showing locally in Dressage, English, and Western classes. Currently, Maria rides a wonderful and fiery Mustang mare named Honey and Amy rides a great minded gelding pony named D'Jango (the "D" is silent).
Beyond the horse world, fitness and health has been a main focus for the family. Joel and Erica are proud to have both competed in Ironman races which consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and finishing with a full 26.2 mile marathon. Maria and Amy have both twice completed the adult Donner Lake Sprint triathlon, of which they were the youngest competitors and Amy took first and Maria took second in their age groups at the Yellowstone Half Marathon.
If you don't find the family around the horses, either at a horse show or an endurance ride...you can find them training for a race or camping and hiking in the Nevada desert or Tahoe mountains.
